TRAINING

Every month, you’ll receive one complimentary 2-hour training session, tailored to whatever your café needs most. Choose from a range of focused workshops:

  • DIALING IN (2-6 PEOPLE)

  • MILK TEXTURING (2-4 PEOPLE)

  • LATTE ART (2-4 PEOPLE)

  • COFFEE CUPPING (2-10 PEOPLE)

  • SEQUENCING (2-6 PEOPLE)

  • CUSTOM CLASSES UPON REQUEST

Sessions must be booked at least 10 days in advance.

Available hours: 9am–4pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Sessions can be held on-site at your café or at the Viewfinder Training Lab

⚠️ A $50 roundtrip travel fee applies to locations more than 10 miles from our HQ

Want to Go Deeper? Add-On Sessions:

2-Topic Session (3–4 hrs): $100 Mix and match two training subjects for a more robust session.

Full Barista Training (4 hrs): $250 Covers:

  • Espresso Terminology & Extraction Theory

  • Dialing In

  • Milk Steaming + Intro to Latte Art

  • Sequencing + Drink Efficiency

  • Customer Service

Add more trainees for $75 each (max 3 additional people).

TECHNICAL

Every Viewfinder Partner receives free on-site technical support.

Whether it's preventative maintenance or a mid-service emergency, we've got your back.

Standard Service Offerings:

ESPRESSO MACHINE PREVENTATIVE MAINTANENCE

  • Includes grouphead gaskets & screens, flow rate testing, backflush, and general inspection

GRINDER CALIBRATION AND CLEANING

  • Dial-in support, burr maintenance, and calibration checks

DRIP & BATCH BREWER

  • Sprayhead maintenance and consistent extraction flow testing

WATER QUALITY TESTING

  • Check TDS levels, filtration status, and consult on scaling risk

BASIC REPAIRS

  • Leaks, clogs, sensor issues, loose fittings, and general troubleshooting

Scheduling Notes:

  • Services must be booked at least 5 days in advance for non-emergency visits

  • Bookable hours: 9am–4pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

  • Emergency support available on request (subject to availability)

What about for non-partners?

They can still schedule tech services through Spectra! Standard rates start at:

  • $125/hr labor

  • $95 service call fee

  • 10% discount on all parts with retainer agreement

CONSULTING

We have three consulting tiers that are currently available. Current Viewfinder Partners get 20% off all consulting tiers and à la carte services — just another benefit of partnering with us.

The Tune-Up – $500 one-time

A foundational snapshot to get you unstuck.

Includes:

  • Menu audit + COGS analysis

  • Brew bar layout & workflow feedback

  • 1-hour strategy session (in person or virtual)

The Foundation Build – $1,200/month (2-month minimum)

For shops ready to systemize and scale.

Includes everything from The Tune Up, plus:

  • Custom SOP development (menu, drink build, cleaning, open/close)

  • Staff onboarding materials (training checklist, expectations guide)

  • 2 monthly leadership coaching sessions

  • Email + phone support throughout engagement

Full Support Retainer – $2,500/month (3-month minimum)

The concierge package — from napkin sketch to launch.

Includes everything above, plus:

  • Neighborhood/lease strategy

  • Utility + water line planning

  • Equipment & vendor guidance

BRANDING & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

  • Full on-site barista training (1–2 days)
